For its size the city of Cardiff sports an exceptional quantity of promoter events peppered around the clubs and live music venues. It has to be said that consistency is key to any successful night and Sure Shot has bucket loads.
A passion project of Miles Day who also djs alongside the other residents Dj Veto and Chris Conroy. The Sure Shot has been for time now celebrating and bringing to the forefront the international rythms of crate digging culture inviting guest labels such as Habibi Funk, Mukatsuku, Mr Bongo, Late Night Tales and more to the cosy dance floor of GwdiHw Cafe situated just out of the bustling centre of Cardiffs main strip.
The next event coming up on the 7th July is not slowing down the pace bringing the man behind the revered label Analog Africa ‘Samy Ben Redjeb’. A music man obsessed with the free flowing and rule breaking sound of Africa and Latin America. A DJ who will provide a snapshot in to a by gone era of beautifully collected sounds and artists from these colourful musical worlds.
If listening and dancing to the warm fuzzy rythmic sounds of Africa and Latin America’ through broken valves, wild effects and hand built instruments is your thing then make 7th July a date!
This event is not to be missed and will be rammed with the dedicated smiling music loving community of the wonderful Welsh capital.
